The best Champagne Bar in Barcelona is The Champainaria

Travel Tip posted by cicero

This is a weeny little place but it rocks right into the night and attracts more people than Bears to honey. If you like open spaces and fine dining stay away. This place is popular, hip and serves great Tapas and it's own made Champagne. It easy to find if you follow the attached map from the underground Metro train service. You might need to really wedge yourself in here but that is half the fun, don't be shy and you'll be fine. Cheapest bottles of Champas I have drunk at about £3.00 and a couple of Bocadillo (sandwich) will cost about £2 to compliment.

Never trust a flower bearing Gypsy

Travel Tip posted by michaelj

Pick pocketed (from front pocket) by someone with extreme skills as they tried to get me to take a flower. I was neither drunk, nor stupid and it was broad daylight. But Palma is a lovely place to travel to.

When traveling to Barcelona watch your handbag

Travel Tip posted by cicero

It is true in any city when you are traveling that you should watch your purse or handbag. This is especially true in Barcelona, particularly around La Rabla which is the main street through the City. Barcelona is lovely and you have to go there. I would love to live there and you don't need to feel unsafe - just hold onto your handbag and watch it in cafes. Don't hang it on the back of your chair, or leave it marking a seat when you go to get coffee or food.

You can get away with not paying for Buses in Barcelona

Travel Tip posted by cicero

If you jump on the buses in Barcelona from the backdoors you can get away with standing innocently and not paying. Although I think if you don't pay for your bus fare than your not very cool.
