There are times when you are traveling on your own or with a loved one and you want a photo of yourselves. You are too shy to ask the nice man over by the railing over looking out over the view and you don't want to put your camera on the rock near the precipice in case it falls so you are stuck. Enter the Gorillapod. Not a new concept but one that works. Wrap it around a pole, railing, tree branches or elephant tusks and off you go. They have models for bigger cameras also but all in all a very cool travel photography gadget.
