On a budget in London? Cheap Bus tour is to take the 23 Bus through Central London
Buses in London cost £1.50 at the time of posting. If you want to see a good amount of Central London on the cheap then the Bus number 23 from outside Paddington Train Station (ideally you will pick it up there as you get the full run) is a great way to go. If you can get a seat at the front of the Bus then you will have uninterrupted views as it takes you down Oxford St then Regent St, through Piccadilly Circus and more including Trafalgar Square. You can ride it even further, all the way down to St Pauls Cathedral and then get the Tube back, or a 23 Bus going in the other direction.
Don't stay on it for the full run, might be an idea to ask the Driver where to get off although they are not always that friendly. Basically I would not recommend going past St Paul's.
Else get a bus map from here and follow it http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/9440.aspx
